Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is from Bordeaux's left bank which typically means the primary grape is Cabernet Sauvignon. However, this 2005 vintage has a bit more Merlot in the blend. This wine holds a deep garnet color with aromas of bright cherry, plum and a bit of spice. Delicious fruit flavors mirror on the palate with soft spices. It's round, with mild tannins, and a silky, inviting mouthfeel. A tasty Bordeaux blend: 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc.
My Notes:

About Château Lalande-Poitevin:

Château Roche Lalande is a 17th century property that orginally belonged to the Baron Poitevin. The new owner, Mr. Jose Rodriques-Lalande, acquired and completely renovated the estate in 1996. Of Portuguese background, he has extensive winemaking experience in southern Europe. He employs modern winemaking techniques in order to extract maximum fruit and concentration, while retaining freshness. The estate has 75 acres and Mr. Lalande build two new cellars to age its red and white wines.
