This Merlot offers cherry and plum with notes of bramble fruit above the toasty oak aromas. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and elegant. Bright juicy flavors of black cherry and blackberry are focused by silky tannins and balanced acidity. Soft vanilla and spicy notes of clove and cinnamon show in the long, charming finish.

While single vineyard wines can be very interesting, our current (and quite unfashionable) view is that more complex and appealing wines can be produced through skillful and artistic blending of vineyard sources. While we have produced single-vineyard wines, most are a blend of fruit from two or more sites.
