 This inky, full bodied Spanish red is bursting with aromas of dark berries, earth, toast, and slate. On the palate it shows balanced acidity and tannin, and roundness with flavors of black cherry and coffee. Previous vintages have been awarded ratings of 90 points and higher from Wine Advocate. We can't wait to see the reviews for this vintage! Ready to be enjoyed today or cellared for 2-4 years.

About Can Blau:

 The D.O. Montsant, where Can Blau is located, is a horse shoe shaped appellation that surrounds the D.O. Priorat on three sides. It should have been included on the Priorat appellation but was excluded. Can Blau is composed of 60 acres of vineyards with an average age of 35 years. The soils are similar to Priorat with Montsant being a bit more complex with a mixture of slate (llicorella), sandy clay and chalk.
