"This tight, pungent Sauvignon has richness and stays cool, even as the acidity in the finish seems to bleed green. Chill it for oysters."

About Cairnbrae:

Cairnbrae Vineyards is a family owned and operated boutique winery producing quality white wines in the favoured Rapaura district of Marlborough, New Zealand, neighbouring the well known Cloudy Bay and Corbans Stoneleigh vineyards.

The 45 acre vineyard was established in 1980, one of the earliest in the district. The terrain is flat with slight undulations, the deep river gravel subsoil with varying depths of fertile river silt of top, provides perfect drainage, conducive to the successful growing of grapes. The Cairnbrae Vineyard, situated on Jacksons Road, is traditionally one of the earliest vineyards to be harvested in Marlborough.
