Winemaker's Notes

This bright dry white combines beautiful aromas of pineapple, tropical and other exotic fruits with a hint of citrus. The wine is clean and crisp on the palette, with a full-bodied, creamy texture. The vibrant pineapple, pear and lime flavors linger in a crisp finish.

Serve this crisp, refreshing white wine chilled with oysters, a fresh seafood platter, tempura prawns, sushi, or calamari and crudités served with lemon herb aioli.

Critical Acclaim

"Bright, pale, green-tinged yellow. Pungent aromas of lemon, quinine and nutmeg. Juicy and intense, with citrus fruit flavors complicated by a saline element and a note of fig. At once dry and silky. The dusty finish features excellent grip and aromatic persistence, with lovely citrus lift."
91 Points

"Bright and generous. A lively, expressive mouthful of tangerine, pineapple and melon aromas and flavors, consolidating into a crisp, mouthwatering finish. Drink now. 702 cases made."
90 Points

"The 2007 SBS is composed of 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon. There was no malolactic fermentation. The excellent perfume reveals notes of minerals, citrus, melon, lime, apple, and a hint of tropical fruits. Crisp and lively, the wine has excellent acidity and a lengthy finish. "

In the 1990's, as Washington State was gaining more acclaim for its red wines, Walla Walla was...

Learn About Bordeaux White Blends

Bordeaux White Blend
There's white wine in Bordeaux, too! Typically made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and bits of Muscadelle, white Bordeaux can be a fully dry table wine or, as in Sauternes, a deliciously sweet dessert wine. In other areas of the world, a Bordeaux blend consists primarily of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, either of which may be the predominant variety. Bordeaux blends can vary in style, but most have good acidity and often a mineral overtone.
