"The 2007 Burgans Albarino is light gold-colored with a sprightly nose of mineral, spring flowers, and lemon peel. Ripe, balanced, and concentrated, this is an ideal match for flaky fish courses. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. Burgans is a custom cuvee made for importer Eric Solomon. While it's not the best Albarino on the market, in terms of bang for the buck, it has no challenger."
Luciano Almoedo remains the winemaker at this prestigious estate, producing pure
Albarino bottlings with lovely aromatics and precision. The use of wood is definitively
eschewed at the Bodega in order to preserve the natural lift and minerality of the
grapes. As such, the wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel with light lees
stirring. The wine is blended by Eric Solomon, working in concert with the property,
and is bottled in the spring after harvest.
Very nice Albarino, meduim body, full of fruit. One of the nicest Albarinos I've had in last few years.
