This First Growth vineyard is meticulously farmed by David Abreu, with whom we have worked closely for over 12 years. "Insane nose of pure cassis, minerals, and gorgeous flowers. This is stunning. Full and juicy, with amazing layers of fruit, from cassis to blueberries and hints of vanilla on the great finish."
"Bryant's 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is totally gorgeous. Mocha, plums, espresso, rosemary and plums are some of the many notes that burst from the glass in this rich, powerful, totally seductive wine. The 2009 impresses for its sensual personality and sheer class. An impeccable sense of refinement and polish rounds out this huge, glorious Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a wine of extraordinary elegance."
Vinous / Antonio Galloni
"The fabulous 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill displays the tell-tale floral character that routinely emerges from this vineyard, along with blueberry and black currant liqueur intermixed with hints of oak, camphor and incense. The purity of the fruit, the layered, multidimensional mouthfeel and spectacular 50-second finish are all characteristics of some of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignons Napa Valley has ever produced. This beauty is one of the candidates for wine of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 25-30 years."
The Wine Advocate
"Rich and smooth in tannins, with some sharpness through the finish, this shows masses of ripe blackberries and dark chocolate. A bit of time in the glass reprises and accentuates the chocolaty richness. Despite its power, this is refined and high toned, a serious cellar candidate. Give it 10–15 years.
"A real beauty, exhibiting riveting aromatics that touch a range of dark berry, green olive and herb flavors, with cedar, mocha and espresso notes. Yet for all the size and density of this Cabernet, the tannins are fine and silky. Best from 2014 through 2030."
"Dark ruby-red. High-pitched, slightly exotic aromas of brambly berries, minerals and jasmine tea. Sweet, dense and suave on entry, then extremely primary in the middle, with firm acidity giving shape to the wine's generous, seamless texture. Very aromatic but very young. One senses plenty of extraction here but the texture is quite smooth and the tannins polished. Finishes with lovely aromatic persistence."

The area was settled by a few choice wine families in the 1960's who bet that the wines of the area would grow and flourish. They were right. The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...Read More About Napa Valley
(cab-uhr-NAY sow-veeh-yawn) King of Red Many refer to Cabernet Sauvignon as the king of red grapes. Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...Read More About Cabernet Sauvignon
