Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This 2010 Pinot Noir is a pleasant, medium ruby wine with aromas and flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry with a hint of vanilla and a smooth, soft, supple finish.

We had a bottle of this tonight with Barbecued chicken and thought it was excellent! Balanced, good fruit on the front, little smoke, nice long finish..... I logged on to buy more -- if that's an indication! Sounds like ACwine guy had a bad bottle. I've got one more in the cellar and wish I had more.
