Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Plenty of pale green tints. Lifted grassy citrus characters on the aromas. Sweet fruit flavors intially on the palate with some Bickford lime cordial notes. Excellent acid structure, importantly balanced with the fruit, long carry on the finish as well. Perfect in its youth, will bottle age gracefully for those that want a mature style.
"Delicious semillon, its quality obvious. Fresh and racy with dry, textural elements through the finish. Citrus, lemongrass, hay-like elements, and a sweet milky character. A vigourous, energetic wine. It has the cut to see it age well, but it also has upfront appeal."
Australian Wine Companion
"Aromas of sliced apples, pears and honey. Some flint here too. It's full-bodied with light apple pie, minerals and citrus. Flavorful finish too. A long time favorite for me and this is the real deal at entry level price so don't miss it. Drink now. Screw cap."
"Light yellow. High-pitched citrus and orchard fruit aromas are complemented by notes of white flowers, ginger and anise. Dry, nervy and sharply focused, offering zesty orange and green apple flavors and a refreshing touch of bitter quinine. Finishes firm, stony and very long, with resonating spiciness and excellent clarity. This is the most powerful and expressive rendition of this iconic Hunter semillon I've tasted to date."

Learn About Hunter Valley
Like the state it's in, New South Wales, Hunter Valley is hot and the traditional grapes are Shiraz & Semillon. But Chardonnay has become a popular and very produced variety. The hot weather gets the grapes super ripe, which in turn makes most of the wines big and rich.
Learn About Semillon
An essential white grape of Bordeaux,

white wines ever made. It's the pride and joy of areas like
and Barsac for its ability to incur botrytis, or noble rot. The grape takes
well to the fungus and in turn produces rich, golden,...
