Wine Style Guide

Light & Crisp

Light to medium bodied wines that are high in acid and light to medium fruit. Typically no oak.

Fruity & Smooth

Light to medium bodied wines with lots of juicy fruit, typically medium acid and medium oak.

Rich & Creamy

Full bodied wines that have typically undergone malo-lactic fermentation and/or spent time in oak.

Winemaker's Notes

White green colour. The nose is fine, delicate, on notes of white fruits, cherry plum and crystallized citrus fruits. The mouth reveals spicy and slightly acid notes, on candy aromas (candy stores). A thirst-quenching wine, all in greed and candy.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2010 Chablis Domaine Sainte Claire (from vines in Prehy) shows lovely focus and cut in its citrus, lemon, grapefruit and white fruits. It is an excellent entry-level wine with plenty of vintage character. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018. "
89 Points

"Ripe aromas of stone fruits, spices and white flowers, with a suggestion of oyster shell. A very ripe and tactile village wine energized by oyster shell minerality. Ultimately quite dry and vibrant, but also built to give early pleasure."
