Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This zesty Sauvignon bargain packs a serious punch, displaying exuberant passion fruit and lime flavors backed by a savory herbaceous character. The mouthwatering finish is marked by minerally saline notes.

Critical Acclaim

"Pale yellow. Ripe aromas of spices and pepper with a hint of pineapple. Then fruitier in the mouth than on the nose, offering fresh, nicely intense pineapple and nectarine flavors and an attractive supple texture. Finishes with good length. The best sauvignon to date under this label, which was originally launched as Rustenberg's second label but is now on its own."
