Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This delicious Cabernet bursts onto the palate with bright, juicy flavors of blackberry, cassis, licorice, and cherry intertwined with subtle vanilla, tobacco, and spice characteristics. Firm yet accessible tannins make it a great accompaniment to grilled meats, burgers, and short ribs.

Critical Acclaim

"An easy and approachable Cab with bright notes of black cherry, cassis and plum laced with hings of fruitcake. Rich and mouthwatering with a slightly creamy texture and medium-length finish. Drink now."
88 Points

"Good deep red. Cherry, cassis, graphite and spices on the nose, with attractive violet lift. The palate offers good juicy cut and energy to the flavors of currant, cherry, tobacco leaf and spices. Finishes with a solid tannic spine that calls for a year of patience."
88 Points
