2005 is considered the ultimate vintage in Bordeaux. In the Wine Advocate Robert Parker called it "an extraordinary vintage and one that is different from anything I have tasted in the last twenty-eight years... All four appellations [of Bordeaux] have produced exquisite wines that possess exceptional longevity as well as remarkable fruit concentration, precision, and freshness."

Unfortunately, along with this extraordinary vintage came absurdly high prices. That's why we've put together three wines from the legendary 2005 vintage that represent extraordinary value - and packaged them together for only $59.

Chateau Renard 2005 Fronsac
A rich palate with velvety tannins and a beautiful finish that is both harmonious and fresh. This is an exceptional Bordeaux for the price and it's ready to drink today or can be aged for a few more years. A fantastic value and really displays the excellence of the vintage.

Chateau Devise d'Ardilley 2005 Haut-Medoc
Dark ruby red in color. Intense and complex nose of red fruits, blackberries, smokey aromas, spices and leather. Slightly more tannic than the Renard.

Chateau Lezongars 2005
The most forward of the three; fleshy and round in the mouth with balanced fruit and oak. Elegant and supple tannins - a well balanced wine that's delicious to drink now.
