Winemaker's Notes

The nose is packed out with black fruit all backed by black truffle. Bramble and black cherry are very much in evidence on the palate their richness enhanced by dark chocolate. Fresh bilberry, old leather and spicy black truffle fill out the back palate.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2012 Urban Uco Malbec spent three months in oak barrels. The bouquet is well-defined with blackberry, boysenberry, touches of dark chocolate and anise. The palate offers chunky black fruit on the entry. It is fresh, a little rough round the edges, but true to what an unadulterated Malbec should be. "

Rating:
(2/4/2014)
Style: Light & Fruity
Light bodied but layered flavors give it a complexity that is as satisfying as rare in this price range. Very low acidity makes the wine friendly but difficult to pair with anything but apetizers or poultry.

Learn About Argentina

(ahr-jen-TEE-nah) Now fifth in the world for wine production, Argentina is catching up in the quality wine sector.
