Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Bright, deep, cherry-red. Intense aromas of ripe black berries to the nose accompanied with balsamic touches which are reminiscent of coconut and licorice. It is fresh and pleasant in the mouth with a noticeable texture where the smoky and fruit assembled nuances reappear. Long and enfolding finish.
"The 2009 Crianza is a pure Tempranillo from vineyards in Haro, Briones, San Vicente and La Bastida, all located in Rioja Alta. It has lively Morello cherry and soy notes on the nose that is well-defined and develops rose petal scents with aeration. The palate is fresh and fleshy with crisp acidity and joyful, red cherry and strawberry fruit on the harmonious finish. This is a very fine Crianza for the price."
