The wine's appearance maintains the traditional straw-yellow color, with a few golden glints around the rim. The nose is powerful with pineapple, apple and peach aromas, all at a midway point between sharp and ripe fruit. In the background there are sharp notes of white blossom, concluding with smooth, honeyed sensations. In the mouth, it is even more surprising. There is an almost perfect balance of sweetness-bitterness-acidity which really excites the taste senses. It is without doubt one of the most notable vintages of recent times.
Blend: Viura 90%, Malvasia 10%
"(90% viura and 10% malvasia, fermented in new French oak, where it then spends three months on its lees): Green-tinged gold. Powerful aromas of honeydew melon, orange zest and toasty lees. Sappy, round and concentrated, offering intense melon, citrus fruit and spicecake flavors and a slow-building vanilla quality. Finishes smooth and long, with mounting spiciness and a touch of fennel."
