#44 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2010
Brilliant red cherry with violet hues. Elegant ageing aromas with fruity notes. It shows good balance on the palate coming from the sweet and elegant tannins.
The wine is delicious paired with cold starters, pasta, cheeses. Also perfect as a wine by the glass.
"Fresh and balanced, this red brims with cherry, spice and licorice, with light, firm tannins and vibrant acidity. The texture is generous yet delicate. Not heavy, but vivacious. Drink now through 2014. 200,000 cases made."
Fantastic. An easy to drink red at a good price.
For the price, this is a great Rioja. I served this at a wine tasting party along with three other wines. This Rioja was the crowd favorite! It is a very typical display of a Tempranillo from Spain.
Very soft but in a good way. Pairs nicely with food.
Nice value., good with roasted veg and smoked meat
Smooth & Supple
Excellent value year after year.
Good wine at a great price.
Has the boldness I like in a wine. Stood up to strong itailian seasonings and red sauce. Quite a bargain.
As a Rioja fan for the past 3 decades, I found this to be quite 'thin' and 'light'. I realize it was simple Crianza, but was hoping for more...semi-decent QPR, but there are lots of brands of decent/better Rioja out there in wine land, imo.
