Winemaker's Notes:

Vibrant purple with deep red hues, the Banrock Station Shiraz displays aromas of black currant and cherry fruit with a subtle background of spicy oak. Soft and supple, fresh vibrant fruit flavours of cherries and liquorice are evident on the palate which has a tantalising chocolate finish. Hints of cinnamon, vanilla and oak add depth and complexity. This wine is designed to drink within the next 12 months.

The Banrock Station Shiraz marries superbly with pasta dishes and pizza.

My Notes:

About Banrock Station:

Banrock Station lies at the junction of Banrock Creek and the Murray River near the Town of Kingston-on-Murray in South Australia’s Riverland. The property includes extensive floodplains and wetlands with surrounding Mallee woodlands. For more than 100 years the property had been extensively used for grazing sheep and cattle. But now, following some passionate conservation work by Banrock Station and environment groups like Wetland Care Australia, the wetlands and woodlands are being carefully rejuvenated.
