Balthasar Ress

Family Ress has attracted attention in the 1970ies after reviving an old tradition: Every year renowned artists are asked to decorate one choice wine in a spectacular way; from these endeavours a complete edition was composed which has become note worthy internationally. Christian Ress, son of Stefan Ress, thus fifth generation has already joined the family business and is determined to continue the family's tradition. Thus, within 5 generations, Balthasar Ress' family business has developed into one of the leading wine growing firms of the region. Many of its wines are being exported into different countries of the world. Membership in the VDP gives proof that - in the cultivation of wines - these wine growers have submitted to high optional standards which surpass legal requirements .
