Sauvignon and Merlot grapes in this blend. The 1997 Atlas Peak Consenso Vineyard is a beautiful example of mountain grown Cabernet Sauvignon from an excellent vintage. The wine shows intense cassis, spice, tobacco and roasted coffee on the nose. The palate confirms the nose, providing excellent balance, depth and integration of the fruit and oak characteristics. The wine is full-bodied and dry, with a finish composed of tobacco, berry and oak spices.
