"Bright, dark red. Strong rose petal lift to the redcurrant aroma. Sweet, round and easygoing, with juicy acidity giving shape to the cherry and redcurrant flavors. A rather voluptuous cabernet whose firm tannins won't get in the way of enjoying it young. This is the first vintage for new winemaker Brian Kosi, who told me he's trying to soften this wine up somewhat while maintain its 'mountain backbone.'"
