The elegant aroma shows lively chardonnay fruit of apples, pineapples and lemons with hints of malolactic butterscotch and toasted oak. The richness of the palate is complemented by refreshing acidity and a lingering finish.
Our own Outlook Vineyard, located twelve miles north of the winery, has consistently produced some of our best chardonnay. Located high up on the Rosa, its relatively shallow, well-drained soils are suitable for producing only small crops of high quality fruit. Planted in 1982.
The Yakima Valley, located within the larger Columbia Valley appellation, stretches some 100 miles from the Cascade foothills east along the Yakima River to the Columbia. The vineyards are generally located on the hillsides above the valley floor.
