Ruby red color with garnet hues. Aromatic and complex on the nose, with hints of spices, cherries, blackberries, light tobacco and pleasant chocolate undertones. Very full-bodied and broad on the palate, with an intense sweetness. Decisive but smooth, with elegant tannins and a long, persistent finish.

"Antinori's 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Pian delle Vigne flows across the palate with sweet red cherries, flowers, spices, leather and tobacco, all of which come together in a rich, sensual style. The aromas and flavors are just a touch forward, suggesting the 2007 is likely to be a relatively early-maturing wine. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022.
