Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Deep, vibrant purple in color with inky hues. Brooding ripe blackberry and liquorish flavors on the nose are complimented by spicy oak. The palate is rich with plums and berries balanced with integrated tannins. Great depth of flavor and silky structure show all the hallmarks of McLaren Vale Shiraz. This is a great wine now but will age gracefully for many years.
"Dark crimson-purple; has a potent bouquet of black fruits and licorice, then a rich full-bodied palate adding a dash of dark chocolate to the blackberry base. A lot of wine for the price."
Australian Wine Companion
"Ripe and generous on a medium-weight frame, offering blackberry and dried cherry flavors against polished tannins. Finishes with vivid flavors and a hint of coffee. Drink now through 2016.
