Winemaker's Notes

The vinification is classic Brunel with 80% of the grapes de-stemmed to ensure the purity and roundness of the Grenache fruit. This tiny cuvée is entirely made in stainless steel tank and fashioned in a supple, open style with a powerful core of fruit.

Critical Acclaim

"Dark and grippy, with a nice cocoa powder frame to the black Mission fig, currant and plum fruit flavors. Long finish has graphite and licorice snap notes lurking in the background. Drink now through 2010. "
91 Points

"The outstanding 2007 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Sabrine exhibits just what heights this vintage can reach, even in humble appellations. Its deep ruby hue is followed by sumptuous aromas of black raspberries, truffles, and spring flowers. Dense, long, full-bodied, and super-serious, with no hard edges, it should drink beautifully for 3-4 years. "
