Winemaker Notes

This wine is featured at Starbucks® locations where their Evenings menu is offered.

This wine has aromas of dusty violet, blueberry, caramelized fig, white pepper. With flavors of black cherry, smoked herb-encrusted meat, olive brine, the mouthfeel is richly textured mid-to back-palate, gripping minerality, bright acid.

Great on it's own or enjoy with bbq, roasted lamb or chicken, ratatouille.

Blend: 98% Syrah, 2% Grenache

Certified sustainable.

Big, rich and voluptuously styled, the 2012 Syrah Walla Walla is another wine that shows the vintage nicely. Medium to full-bodied, with fabulous fruit and texture, it boasts loads of plum, blackberry, licorice, singed herbs and hints of meat in its forward, very drinkable personality. I don’t think it will make old bones, but it should continue to impress through 2020.

Amavi Cellars signifies love (amor) and life (vita) through its wines, which are 100% estate, 100% certified sustainable, and 100% Walla Walla Valley. Winemaker Jean-François Pellet brings the Walla Walla Valley AVA to life with his hand crafted, terroir-driven wines. Made from the estate’s younger vines and utilizing more neutral oak, Amavi’s elegant wines are ready to drink upon release, but will also age gracefully in serious collectors’ cellars. Amavi Cellars is owned and operated by three families: the McKibbens, the Goffs and the Pellets, who are dedicated to building their dynamic brand.
