In the glass there are aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, plum, chocolate, spice, black pepper and vanilla. There is mouth filling texture with spicy flavors of blueberry, black pepper, dark fruits and a long finish. Winemaker Kevin Hall notes that "this is a big wine."
"A blend of small-berried fruit from a hillside vineyard with grapes from the valley floor, this is floral, intensely earthy and powerfully constricted. The blend creates full-bodied richness, bringing in some raisined character that adds complexity to the tighter fruit. A black wine with bountiful tannins to carry it in the cellar."
