Winemaker's Notes

Beautifully clear golden-green robe with very bright reflections. This wine has aromas of fleshy fruit, like peach and nectarine, with discreet citrus and floral notes, like jasmine and violet. The mouth is ample and generous with a very distinct marly minerality due to the micro-terroir. It has immense freshness with light and supple woody hints and an exceptional persistence.

Critical Acclaim

"Initially this is closed up, then the wood and the superbly rich fruit assert themselves, unfolding into toast, lime, tropical fruits, plums and a dense, fresh acidity. It is still coming together, working up to being a superb wine. Give it 10 years. "

"Reticent nose opened with aeration to reveal stone fruits, crushed rock, silex, marzipan and a faintly carnal aspect. Sweet, penetrating and intense, with youthfully backward flavors of peach, spices and dusty stone. Very rich, ripe and powerful Chablis with a resounding and very sexy finish that combines minerality with sweet, spicy fruit."

At the end of the 19th century, his grand-son Albert Bichot brought new impulsion to the business and...

Wines produced in Chablis are some of the most unique in the world. Typical descriptors of a classic Chablis include a greenish tinge on the wine, minerality and crisp acidity balanced by a round mouthfeel....
