Winemaker's Notes

Acústic wines show the "acustic "(unplugged) identity of the cellar. They show expressive fruitiness from the beautiful ancient traditional varieties vineyards. No make up, no electricity, just a touch of vineyard, history and tradition. Nicely balanced acidity and expressivity and softness at the same time showing the harmony of the wisdom of the native ancient vineyards. Enjoying the landscape and environment of the area while tasting the wine!!!

Critical Acclaim

"The 2008 Acustic, a blend of 55% Samso (Carinena) and 45% Garnacha aged for 10-11 months in French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it offers up aromas of incense, violets, blackberry, and blueberry. Structured on the palate, this lengthy, layered effort will evolve for 2-3 years and deliver peak drinking from 2013 to 2020. It is a great value."

"Vivid ruby. High-pitched aromas of raspberry and rose, with smoky mineral and Asian spice accents. Light-bodied, gently sweet red berry flavors are impressively pure and racy, with a sexy floral quality emerging on the back half. Very seductive in a pinot way, finishing with excellent clarity and cut."
