This Chardonnay was tank fermented with a small portion of this blend fermented in oak, this fraction aged for 5 months in French and American oak. With aromas of baked apple tarts, pears and slight honey and lemongrass note. The flavor profile is pear with a slight pineapple into the palate with citrus notes that carry to the finish.
Quite surprising at the price (I paid $7/bottle on a wine shopper deal). I was not expecting much with this wine, but it held its own. Again, it would not hold its own with a Layer Cake, but for this price it was surprisingly good
Light & Crisp
Light chard, no oak...basic wine.
