Dark and dense with ripe blackberry and spice; intense with depth and beautiful oak influence and vivid, rich flavors; lush, elegant and stunning; the best vintage yet of this important wine.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2011 Estate Malbec in reality has 8% Tannat, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot which I believe add to the complexity of the wine, which has an intense nose of concentrated raspberries and violets and just a hint of spicy oak. It is exuberant, with notes that reminded me of Touriga Nacional, almost Muscat-like. The palate is medium-bodied, with sweet tannins pleasant and supple, fresh and easy to drink

Wine
Most distinguished and celebrated from Argentina’s Mendoza, Malbec has seen runaway success since the early 2000s. Mendoza’s agreeable, continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold snowy winters allows the perfect conditions for growing outstanding Malbec. This grape is easy to like for its lusty, deep flavors and aromas of blackberry, plum, red cherry, autumn spice and tilled earth. It’s easy to find delicious, fruit-driven, affordable everyday examples and in prices beyond, quite exceptional ones with dense, supple textures that make them capable of aging.
