The 2010 Bordeaux vintage was another huge success, right up there with greats like 2000 and 2005. On the whole, the wines are firmer and more classic than their 2009 counterparts, with plenty of cellaring potential. A low-yielding Merlot crop resulted in extreme concentration and density, but the wines themselves retain extraordinary freshness from good acidity levels. In short, 2010 produced structured, fresh wines that – at the higher levels - will reward time in the cellar.
