Winemaker Notes
All grapes for this wine came from our own vineyards in the Dundee Hills. This is our "young vine" cuvée, with vines averaging 25 years in 2007. Eyrie's attentive vineyard practices focused on picking at just the right time in order to capture optimal Pinot flavor. The wine was then aged in mostly neutral French oak for nearly two years, resulting in a wine that accurately expresses
Pinot noir's inherent varietal characteristics. The deep, rich scents and flavors are enhanced by a long and lingering finish. It is a wine that pairs exceptionally well with food.
Pair with venison chops with blackberry compote, salmon with bacon and lentils.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2007 Pinot Noir Estate is more expressive aromatically. Cinnamon, allspice, rose petal, cherry, and raspberry scents lead to a silky, medium-bodied, feminine Pinot with savory red fruits, excellent concentration, lively acidity, and a lengthy finish. Drink this tasty effort through 2017.
