- 01. What is Wine.com StewardShip?
The Wine.com StewardShip Program is an annual membership program. For for just $49 a year, StewardShip membership enables customers to enjoy unlimited standard shipping on their Wine.com purchases. Highlights of our StewardShip program include:
Unlimited Standard Shipping
Use for purchases of wine, gifts, accessories and more.
No minimum purchase
Use StewardShip to buy as much or as little as you want, as often as you want.
Valid for a full year
Your membership is valid for a full year from the date of purchase (with automatic annual renewal on the expiration date).
Automatically applied to your order
Your StewardShip shipping discount will be automatically applied to your order when you are signed into the account that you used to purchase your StewardShip membership.
Some exclusions do apply and are outlined in full in the Terms and Conditions.
- 02. Are there any exclusions?
StewardShip benefits apply to standard shipping on almost all items listed on the wine.com site. Some items are excluded, such as Bordeaux Futures, wine cellar purchases and other select products, including:
ALASKA and HAWAII exclusions apply
When shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, the shipping method required may default to an expedited method. This requirement is determined by the destination zip code. Our shopping cart will indicate the required method and the total charge in the final review page of the cart, after you have entered the shipping address. You will be credited for the amount for Standard Ground and will be charged for the additional amount necessary for upgraded shipping service. It's still a great deal for shipping to these two locations!
WINE CLUB exclusions apply
If you are a member of the StewardShip Program, the shipping discount will apply to orders you place online under your Wine.com account. This program is not extended to the monthly Wine Club shipments that are created and shipped automatically each month.
CORPORATE GIFTS exclusions apply
Your Wine.com StewardShip membership does not apply to orders placed through our Corporate Sales team. Please go to the corporate gifts section of the site to view the details.
- 03. How is the discount applied?
You must be signed in to your Wine.com account to see your membership discount. Sign in by entering the email address and password that you used to purchase your StewardShip membership. Once you are signed in, you will see the StewardShip Member icon in the upper left side of the webpage and your shipping discount will be automatically applied in the Shopping Cart. If you are not signed in when you reach the Shopping Cart, you will be required to login during the checkout process and your shipping discount will appear at the Confirm Order stage of checkout.
- 04. Does the discount apply to expedited shipping or promotions?
The StewardShip discount is valid on Standard Shipping rates. If you choose any of our expedited or upgraded shipping methods, you will receive a credit for the cost of standard shipping and will be charged for the remaining amount required for the upgrade. You can also use one non-shipping promotion code. Only one promotion code can be used per order. Please check the details of the promotion code for all terms, restrictions, and requirements.
- 05. Does the discount apply to re-ship an undelivered order?
Yes! The StewardShip discount does apply to returned packages you would like to have reshipped! If an order did not reach you or the intended recipient and was returned to Wine.com, as a StewardShip member, we will cover the cost of standard shipping to have your order re-shipped. Re-ship requests that require expedited shipments will receive a credit for the cost of standard shipping but will charge any additional shipping costs required.
- 06. Does the discount apply for me to return an order?
The StewardShip discount is only applicable to shipments from our warehouse to the specified address on your order. If you choose to return an item to Wine.com, your credit will be for the total of your item less the required shipping and handling necessary to return the product back to our warehouse.
- 07. How do I send StewardShip as a gift?
The StewardShip Program is attached to the purchaser's Wine.com account! The program cannot be given as a gift because it is tied to the Wine.com account and email address of the person purchasing it. Instead, we recommend a gift certificate as a great way to give someone a gift that they can then choose to buy the program or something else.
- 08. How does the automatic renewal occur?
Your StewardShip membership automatically renews each year. You can choose not to renew or update your payment method by signing in to your account and editing your options. From the Your Account section, go to the StewardShip Settings link to make any changes to your membership.

StewardShip members are entitled to free standard shipping on all eligible purchases.
This program is limited to products sold by Wine.com on www.wine.com that are shipped to continental United States addresses, excluding U.S. territories, possessions and protectorates. We may exclude products in our discretion.
You must have a Wine.com account to register for and use StewardShip. We reserve the right to accept or refuse membership in our discretion. You may not transfer or assign your membership or these benefits. Changing or combining orders, or changing your shipping address, speed, or preferences might affect StewardShip eligibility. Please note: We may ship the products by ground or air at our discretion (these options do not correspond to any carrier-branded shipping services); Our carriers usually do not pick-up or deliver packages on weekends or holidays; Promo code is valid only on orders placed from the Wine.com account that purchased the StewardShip program. Code cannot be used on any other Wine.com account. In cases of extreme weather where only expedited shipping is available, you will receive a credit for the cost of standard shipping. Promo code is not valid toward shipping on wine club memberships, wine cellars and other select products. StewardShip cannot be given as a gift because it is tied to the account of the person purchasing it. Instead, we recommend a gift certificate.
- Terms - Changes, Termination and Liability
Termination by Us
We may terminate your membership at our discretion without notice. If we do so, we will give you a prorated refund based on the number of full months remaining in your membership. However, we will not give any refund for termination related to conduct that we determine, in our discretion, violates these Terms or any applicable law, involves fraud or misuse of this membership program, or is harmful to our interests or another user. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
Limitation of Liability
IN ADDITION TO OTHER LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS IN WINE.COM'S TERMS OF SERVICE, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO STEWARDSHIP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT EXCEED THE LAST ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE YOU PAID. THESE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY WILL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND WILL SURVIVE CANCELLATION OR TERMINATION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
- Terms - Fees, Cancellation and Trial Membership
The annual membership fee for StewardShip is $49.00. This fee is non-refundable except as expressly set forth below. Taxes may apply on either or both of the membership fee and the reduced shipping charges for Steward-Ship. UNLESS YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE RENEWAL THAT YOU WANT TO CANCEL, YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AND YOU AUTHORIZE US TO COLLECT THE THEN-APPLICABLE ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ANY TAXES, USING ANY PAYMENT METHOD WE HAVE ON RECORD FOR YOU.
If you cancel your membership before you have made any eligible purchases, we will refund your full membership fee.
Promotional Trial Memberships
We sometimes offer certain customers various trial or other promotional memberships, which are subject to these Terms except as otherwise stated in the promotional offers. Trial memberships cannot be canceled, but trial members can at any time choose not to upgrade to regular annual membership at the end of the trial period.
