| Scores are to tournaments what ratings are to wineries—a snapshot of performance. A score doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about the team (or the wine), but it does serve as a guiding beacon. Wine critics, like play-by-play announcers, offer their vantage point on a wine and unbiased assessment. Wine.com now cites the ratings of critics published by eight professional periodicals. Further, our detail pages now show you how past vintages have performed with what we call a “ratings pedigree”. Since Wine.com frequently offers new arrivals before professional critics have reviewed a vintage, we believe the ratings pedigree will be a valuable tool. |
