Wine.com Announces Voluntary Recall of Ten Gift Baskets Containing PistachiosSAN FRANCISCO, CA - 4/15/2009 Wine.com announced today a voluntary recall of ten (10) gift baskets as a precautionary step. These gift baskets contain pistachios from Pacific Gold which were supplied by Setton Farms of Terra Bella Inc., Terra Bella, Calif. Setton Farms voluntarily recalled roasted in-shell pistachios, roasted shelled pistachio and raw shelled pistachios produced from nuts harvested in 2008, because they have potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, a serious and sometimes fatal bacterial infection. Chez Gourmet Item No. 75672 Pacific Gold Pistachios - 5 oz. natural-colored corrugated package. Blue label with orange poppies Napa Valley Cabernet Crush Item No. 96058 Pacific Gold Pistachios - 5 oz. natural-colored corrugated package. Blue label with orange poppies Setton Farms has indicated that they are not aware of any reported cases of illness related to these products. Wine.com has not received any reports of illness connected to the products listed above. The company is undertaking this voluntary recall to proceed with utmost caution. Wine.com apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and is committed to quality products and the safety of their customers. Wine.com asks that you or your gift recipients discard these products immediately or contact the company at 1-800-592-5870 to arrange return of the pistachio products and receive a refund.
