To place an order on wine.com, you will be required to create a wine.com account.  To create the account, we will ask for the following:

    - Your name
    - Date of birth
    - Zip code (if you are an international customer, enter the shipping address US zip code)
    - Email address
    - A password

Your wine.com account will store this information along with the orders you place using your wine.com account.  Because we are a retailer of wine, there are many regulations to which we must adhere, and this requires our sales and deliveries to be properly recorded.

There is no need for you to save any credit card or address information on your wine.com account.  However, the Wine.com order forms do request data from users including: Contact information such as name and shipping address; financial information such as credit card number, expiration date and CVV code, billing address, and billing phone number. This information is used for billing purposes to verify that the customer is of legal age, to properly authorize the credit card and to fill customers' orders.

Also, we communicate important order status information through your wine.com account.  We will email Order Confirmations and Shipping Confirmations along with tracking information.  If we encounter difficulty when processing an order, the information you provide on your wine.com account is used to contact you. This information is harvested from a secure area and encrypted for our customers' protection. It is not sold or shared with anyone else under any circumstances.

    06. Email Confirmations - What emails will be sent, regardless of my unsubscribing?

Wine.com sends email order confirmations to the address specified in your account. An email confirmation of new orders is sent that specifies when your package has been shipped. 08. Community Profile - How do I remove my name from public search engines?

Our wine.com community is a great place to create and share reviews and wine lists with other members of the wine.com community.  When creating your Community Profile, please note that the profile you create will be "public" so the user name you create can be searched on the internet.

On the page you access to create your community profile, we do include information that your profile will be "public" and that you can use an alias if you choose to do so.

After creating a profile, if you are concerned about your name appearing on search engines in connection with your Community Profile, you can change your Public Username. Here's how:

    1) Click "Your Account" at the top of any Wine.com page and log in.

    2) In your account, under the heading "Your Community Content" on the left side of the screen click "Profile."

    3) On the next page, under the heading "content" click the "EDIT" button next to the "Profile" link.

    4) On the Edit page, you can change your Public Username to an anonymous name of your choosing, so that your actual name is not linked to the profile.

Please note, this update will take a few days before the search engines have completed their updates and will stop showing your profile when searched by the removed name.  Also, any temporary internet cookies/cache may result in your name still appearing until those are cleared

A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
    Screw Cap wine
    Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
    Green wine
    Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
    Collectible wine
    Collectible
These wines will improve from additional bottle age, when properly stored, and may show the greatest potential to increase in value.
    Great Wine Gifts
    Great Wine Gifts
These selected wines make impressionable gifts for wine enthusiasts and oenophiles alike.
    Boutique Wines
    Boutique Wines
These wines are made in limited quantities and are typically produced from single vineyard sources or made by small, artisanal wineries. While the winery may produce larger quantities, we limit wines with this designation to a 1,000 case production.

    About Professional Ratings

These wine ratings are based on a 100-point quality scale, and are selected by each publication's unique criteria. Some wine ratings are expressed as ranges. When this occurs we will list the highest score in the range and note the full range within the tasting note.

While ratings may influence your decision, the ultimate judgment is your palate.
