A fresh and tight white wine with a good level of restrained fruit intensity and ripeness. Its nose is initially dominated by Riesling notes of citrus and lime, with passionfruit and tropical fruit from the Sauvignon Blanc emerging. Spices, musk, freshly cut flower stems and almonds round out the mid-palate, finished with great textural richness and crisp, clean acidity.
"Light yellow. A complex bouquet suggests peach, pear, curry powder and mustard seed. Juicy orchard and pit fruit flavors offer impressive depth and clarity for a wine at this price point, with juicy acidity providing lift and cut. Finishes with very good sappy persistence and firm minerality. Bats above its station in complexity but I wonder if the normal white wine customer for this price point really wants something more simple."
