Winemaker's Notes

This 100% Tempranillo from the Santa Rosa vineyards in Mendoza shows intense ruby color. The wine offers great ripe fruit aromas such as figs, dried prunes and cherries well integrated with vanilla, coconut, tobacco and smoke notes. Soft entry on the mouth with silky tannins and balanced acidity. It has a long finish.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2009 Q Tempranillo (100%) spent one year in new French and American oak and one year in bottle prior to release. Sourced from 40-year-old vines, it exhibits an alluring bouquet of balsam wood, mineral, spice box, violets, and blackberry. This sets the stage for a savory, ripe, incipiently complex wine with excellent volume and length. It has the stuffing to evolve for 1-2 years and will be at its best from 2013 to 2019."
