I fell in love with Zuccardi in 2007 by drinking the 2001, 2002 vintages in Argentina. It is unfortunate that you cannot seem to find Argentina wines (Malbecs) with 5 or 6 years on them (I think they drink it all in Argentina). The Zuccardia Cabs are very nice, too. This one did not have the heavy glycerin I have come to expect but very easy to drink, and inexpensive; an excellent all-occasion wine to buy by the case. I served it with a variety of other reds at a BBQ and it made a good showing against an Australian Shiraz and a red Rhone (Grenache).
