winemaker's notes:

Amarone, the small jewel in our product line, is rightly considered the king of Verona's wines, produced from the best grapes of the Valpolicella Classic area, carefully selected and dried in trays until January. Showing deep ruby red, it releases intense aromas laden with rich spice and dried fruit; in the mouth it is a wine of superb richness and majestic flavors.

The perfect wine for all roasts and game, as well as for aged cheeses.

alcohol by volume: 15.5%
critical acclaim:

"Light tannins add subtle grip to this supple Amarone, framing flavors of sticky, sun-dried date, black cherry, and crushed black raspberry, with aromatic hints of sweet smoke, loose tea leaf and lots of ground spice. The finish is long and refined. Drink now through 2030. 1,250 cases imported."
