The wine is a vibrant purple, dark cherry red; deeper in colour than the standard release, hint at its longevity. On the nose there is dark cherry and plum, complexed with earthy, forest floor characters and supported by spicy, charred oak. On the palate the wine has a little more tannin that the stardard Yarra Ridge Pinot Noir, and a more full-bodied structure with intense varietal fruit flavours in a long textured finish. -Nick Walker, Winemaker
