Yalumba is one of the best wineries in South Australia, so I expected something special. I must say that it delivered spot on. This Viognier has an apricot, pear and watermellon nose. It also has a nice straw hue to it. The taste is definately complex with hints of white pepper and tart citrus on the back. I'm not convinced this wine was fermented in stainless steel. Typically, Viognier in the Barossa region does have a touch of oak. You do get some of the creeping 'lees' taste, but there is nothing overpowering about it. I loved it and would recommend it for its great taste and price.
