Yalumba Tri-centenary Vines Grenache 2005

Yalumba Hand Picked Tricentenary Grenache 2005 is dark cherry red in color. The aroma is vibrant and alive with ultra-ripe, exotic fruits and an almost raspberry and chocolate reduction, finishing with scents of violets. The palate is full bodied with beautifully silky tannins, fresh truffles, rose petals and meaty, savory hints. Perfect for drinking now or can be cellared with confidence over 3-5 years.

"The 2005 Grenache Tricentenary, which was aged 10 months in 300 liter, neutral French hogsheads, boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as a gorgeous perfume of black raspberries, kirsch liqueur, pepper, graphite, and earth. This spicy, rich, full-bodied, multilayered Grenache is produced from a vineyard planted in 1889. Interestingly, as the wine sat in the glass, aromas of Provencal herbs also emerged."
