Winemaker's Notes

Wavelength's claim to fame lies in the unusual pairing of Syrah and Cabernet Franc – fifty/fifty. It is unlike any other wine that we make – or any other people make – that we know about. The cool climate of Sugarloaf Mountain coupled with deep aging in barrels produces a great wine.

Blend: 65% Syrah, 35% Cabernet Franc

Critical Acclaim

"Deep, bright red-ruby. Cassis, violet, bitter chocolate and licorice on the nose and palate. Sweet, pliant and nicely concentrated, but with its creamy texture balanced by ripe acidity. Rather bound-up on the back end, finishing with firm tannins and a slightly dry herbal element. Like the Against the Wine cabernet franc, this needs some time in bottle to gain in pliancy.
Rating: 90(+?)"

Chateau Teyssier, a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Estate, has expanded from 14 to 125 acres, into one of the main players of Saint Emilion (capturing three 5 Stars from Decanter with the 2010 vintage – including its flagship wine, Le Dôme).

The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...

There are a multitude of grape varieties throughout the world, however, in a Darwinian sense, survival of the fittest only brings us wines made from grapes that can adapt to changing climates and winemaking techniques. Notable Facts Our other red wines primarily consists of...
