winemaker's notes:
The color is vivid dark red/purple. The nose provides sweet, juicy and absolutely quintessential South Australian shiraz. It displays rich chocolate, stewed plum, mint and spicy, pepper smells, with some cinnamon following the initial attach of
primary fruit characters.
The palate exudes fruit richness and a well integrated, velvet tannin structure, reflecting the vintage conditions. The emphasis is on powerful full-bodied berry fruit flavor, with a little sweet oak evident on the juicy, rolling middle palate. The fine, underlying acidity holds the wine in balance and sustains the flavors, giving the wine a long, spicy finish.

I really enjoyed this wine. I felt that it complimented my pasta dish perfectly. Earthy, tart.
