The 2004 Wolf Blass South Australia Shiraz is vivid, dark red with a bouquet of strawberries and raspberries. The palate is full-bodied with a creamy texture, integrated oak and a firm finish.
Suggested food: Lamb fillets with rosemary infused potato mash.

Wolf Blass arrived in Australia's Barossa Valley at the age of 27, and has since developed one of Australia's premier wineries. Wolf Blass has been producing some of Australia's very best wines for over 30 years, receiving over 3,000 awards at international wine shows since 1966.Like the United States, which is about the same size, Australia's winemaking regions are huddled into one or two pockets of the country. The state of South Australia, which produces about 60% of the country's wine, also has the most wineries and sub-regions, including McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Coonawarra and Barossa Valley. New South Wales is home to the Hunter Valley, while the smaller, southern state of Victoria is best known for theYarra Valley. Head way west to the very large state of Western Australia and you'll find the tiny region of Margaret River at the southern tip.
