Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Cabernet Sauvignon from South Australia, Australia
The 2007 Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep red with purple hues. The nose shows fresh, blackcurrant fruit with subtle nutty oak integration and just a touch of varietal leafiness. The palate is medium to full bodied, offering dark berry fruit flavor with a touch of cassis, finishing with fine Cabernet tannins.
A delight to partner with a roasted rack of lamb or with a hearty serve of lasagne.
Wolf Blass Winery
Wolf Blass arrived in Australia's Barossa Valley at the age of 27, and has since developed one of Australia's premier wineries. Wolf Blass has been producing some of Australia's very best wines for over 30 years, receiving over 3,000 awards at international wine shows since 1966.Like the United States, which is about the same size, Australia's winemaking regions are huddled into one or two pockets of the country. The state of South Australia, which produces about 60% of the country's wine, also has the most wineries and sub-regions, including McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Coonawarra and Barossa Valley. New South Wales is home to the Hunter Valley, while the smaller, southern state of Victoria is best known for theYarra Valley. Head way west to the very large state of Western Australia and you'll find the tiny region of Margaret River at the southern tip.
