Winemaker's Notes

Number 61 on the Wine.com 100 of 2007!

Sourced from vineyards throughout Coonawarra renowned for providing rich, complex, Cabernet Sauvignon fruit.

This 2002 vintage displays aromas of violets, mint, warm dark chocolate with tobacco and cassis, combined in a complex bouquet, typical of the Coonawarra region. The palate is rich and well textured with fine grained tannins and a long seamless finish. This wine will reward up to 8 years cellaring.

"Even tasted blind, this excellent Cab's smooth, velvety-clay feel says Coonawarra. It's a restrained, balanced wine with pencil-eraser and red plum flavors, and cherry brightening the finish."
