The ripe fruit from this vintage offers an amazing perfumed nose of pie cherries, truffles, spice, cardamom and fresh strawberry preserves. Your palate expands with flavors of concentrated cherries, pomegranates, sassafras, fennel and morel mushrooms. Rich and slightly aggressive tannins help to carry the balanced acidity that follows long into the finish. Probably the best Central Coast I've assembled in 11 vintages.
"Bright red. Spicy red and dark berry aromas are complemented by fresh flowers and baking spices. Smoothly blends spicy and sweet on the palate, offering black raspberry and white pepper qualities and finishing with dusty tannins that add grip. A deeper cherry note arrives on the long, sappy aftertaste. This is already delicious. "

"A pretty, polished and elegant Pinot Noir, impeccably made and finely balanced. May lack some of the depth of Williams Selyem’s other ’07s, but it shows a complex array of cherries, cola, mocha, sandalwood and smoke. Drink "
"This is really quite pretty with an airy red berry fruit nose that is very pinot in basic character and leads to detailed, vibrant and attractively balanced flavors that possess just enough complexity to avoid being one-dimensional. Despite being on the simple side, I like the style."
